Competitors in the fast casual space are giants. In order to set Grill’d ahead we had to win on two fronts:
Speed & Convenience
We first searched every nook and cranny of our competitors. Each interaction was under scrutiny to better understand how we can make our experience faster and more convenient than our competitors.

Innovation through Collaboration
Some of our best ideas came through ideation sessions with the team. In such an established category, little onboarding was required which allowed for testing our ideas. These quick iterations pushed our ambitions further.
Always Ordering Mentality
Many traditional food and beverage apps plaster their home screens with their marketing materials. We skip the cognitive load to bring the menu front and centre.

Automated Faves
Any action we were able to automate, we did. instead of manually favouriting, we recommend items based on your order history.

Comprehensive Design System
To keep the product up to date with their brand, we built Grill'd a comprehensive design system which can be updated as needed.
